On Thursday 5th December the children in Year 6 will be travelling down to London and visiting the Houses of Parliament and Kew Gardens.
This is a fantastic day that will allow the children a grand tour of the seat of Government and the site of the Gunpowder plot; alongside a tour of the world famous Kew Gardens in support of our science topics.
We will be travelling by train from Oxenholme to Euston at 6:20am and returning that night at 21:10. A long day – but well worth it! The children will be accompanied by Mrs Goodfellow, Mrs Wilson and myself. The whole day has been subsidised by the British Government which means that the cost of the day – which includes train travel, underground travel, Kew Gardens and dinner – will be £30 per child.
I hope you agree that this is a fabulous opportunity for your children to see two places that should leave a lasting memory for all of them.
If you are happy for your child to attend, could you please return the slip below as soon as possible?
