Some Summer Term Dates
I hope you have all had a great Easter break and are back into the swing of things! Easter seems a very long time ago now, the children all seem very settled and are looking forward to the term ahead.
There are lots of things planned for the summer term! We have the obligatory SATs coming up for the Year 6 and Year 2 children very soon, plus Phonic Screening and the Year 4 times table checks. After that we are foot-loose and fancy-free to enjoy the weeks ahead.
A few dates for your diaries:
May 4th: PTA’s “May the 4th be with you” day – the children can wear their own clothes for £1
May 9th: Year 6 SATS
May 13th: School trip to Lakeland Safari
May 19th: Class 4 London trip (Tower of London and Parliament)
May 26th: Juniors perform at Kendal Town Hall in Big Sing
May 27th: PTA Rainbow run and BBQ
Half term – Friday 27 May – Monday, June 6
June 20th: Flute concert in school (Class 4)
June 22nd: Class 2 – Beatrix Potter World
Class 4 – Birdoswald Roman Dig
June 27th: Year 5/6 residential (Lowick, Ulverston)
June 30th: Heaves farm – classes 1/2/3
July 13th: Women’s Euros match @ Wigan
July 20th: Summer term ends 1:30 pm
Wednesday September 7th: School returns.
We still have the summer production and one or two other things to finalise and dates will be given shortly.
