Class 2 Space Day
Dear Parents and Carers,
As you are aware our topic this half term is Space. We have been learning about famous astronauts, the eight different planets and been designing and making our own moon buggies. To finish our topic off next Monday on the 18th March, we are having a Space Day in Class 2. We have lots of fun space-themed activities planned such as making moon rocks, learning about star constellations and making our own rockets.
Children are also able to come in their own clothes with a space theme. For example, the colour of a planet so blue for Neptune or red for Mars or if they have a top with stars or space things on they are welcome to wear it. Please make sure it is suitable for outside play.
In Design and Technology, we will be making our own moon buggies. The children have designed and started to make them. If you have any recycling such as egg boxes, yoghurts pots, plastic tubs etc. They will be greatly received so please bring them in by Monday.
Please can I also remind you about the no toy policy in school. We are starting to see children bringing in more toys, which get lost or cause a distraction. There are plenty of toys in school for the children to play with!
Thank you for your co-operation.
Best Wishes,
Miss Chant
