Welcome to the start of the Summer term!!
Seems a little odd when we haven’t had Easter yet – but hopefully things will settle down quickly. We have sats for Year 6 in four weeks and then lots and lots of exciting events to take us through to July.
I would like to congratulate the Key Steps Gymnastic teams in their success at the County finals in Penrith shortly before the break. Both teams finished a very strong second and were a real credit to the school; not only in terms of competitive excellence, but also in the way they supported one another. They are a real credit to yourselves and to the school (and they looked very smart in the new hoodies – thanks to the PTA!). A massive thank you to Tony Storey for all of his efforts and dedication, and to Carly Ringer too, and all of the rest of the parents who gave up so much time in helping the children achieve so much.
Clubs will begin again NEXT WEEK. Monday – homework club; Tuesday – KS1 yoga club; Wednesday – Running club; Thursday – sports club. All clubs run until 4pm.
This Thursday the children will be taking part in the Stations of the Cross walk recapping the last journey of Jesus. Everyone is welcome to join us in a tour around school which will finish in the church. We aim to start at 10am.
Toddler morning will also be taking place this Thursday from 9:30 – 11:00 – again everyone is welcome!
There will be a lot taking place over the next few weeks and more details will follow. A quick reminder about our nut free approach in all lunch boxes, cakes and donations!
As ever – if you have any questions or queries then please feel free to see me at any time.
Best wishes,
Simon Brabant
